Tayside
is known as the region of rivers because it contains many magnificent
rivers large and small, tranquil and tumultuous and most of them
have abundant stocks of fish.
Tayside
also contains many lochs, huge highland lochs like Rannoch, Tay
and Ericht, smaller hill lochs such as Freuchie, Lee and Kinnardachy
and of course a large amount of smaller lochs, reservoirs and still
waters. Wild brown trout and grayling fishing throughout the area
is particularly accessible and reasonably priced. Taysides
Atlantic salmon fishing is amongst the best in the World. There
is good coarse fishing to be found in several areas, specimen pike,
perch, roach and tench and other species. Sea fishing on the Angus
coast offers an interesting variety of species and a number sea
angling charter boats operate from the ancient fishing town of Arbroath
for those who do not wish to experience the beautiful beaches and
cliffs.

the dramatic North Sea coast and the beautiful Tay estuary, to the
Grampian Mountains and unspoilt beauty of the glens, rivers and
countryside the historic and ancient counties of Angus and Perthshire
combine to offer an enticing land of contrasts. This heartland contains
