Inns have traditionally been places where people meet to do business or to celebrate. That’s still the case in The Famous Bein Inn.

Our Balvaird Restaurant and Rock Gallery Bistro are unusual but stimulating places to hold seminars, workshops and small business meetings. Many local companies and organisations regularly use us as a meetings venue and find that our character and standards of service stimulate ideas and discussions in a way that just doesn’t happen in many other meeting places. Perhaps the creativity of all the famed musicians on display encourages better thinking.

We also work with local activity providers to offer team building and incentive activities like off-road driving, shooting and adventure sports.

We can cater for coach parties of up to 60 people, serving coffees and lunches in a setting that provides a bit more interest than the usual service areas or factory outlets. Our easy distance from Edinburgh makes us an ideal first stop for morning coffee on coach trips out from the capital.

As for celebrations, we can do everything from formal a la carte dinners with fine wines, excellent malt whiskies and guest speakers to informal finger buffets with a ceilidh band or disco, good beers and lots of dancing.

You can even get married in The Famous Bein Inn (though you’ll have to find your own spouse). We can host wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions and even have an exclusive, old Bentley that can transport the bride and groom on their big day.
